We have many toads

on our property

with many stories to tell.

We've watched them sitting for extended amounts of time waiting for supper to come by, flushed them out as we tend the flowers or have dug them up as we plant.

But this story is a bit different.

It started this spring when a toad enjoyed being in and among the many pots and flats of new flowers waiting to set out. As I shuffled the boxes and pots to select out the ones I would plant the toad would be there.

I had decided to arrange pots on an old aquarium stand as you see here. I bought the cute toad figure and added it to the setting.

As luck would have it we caught toad climbing the plastic toad to the lower rail of the stand on to the rock and up into the pot!!!

Unluckily we have only once caught him on film doing this, but all summer his presents as been in the flower pot.

If you look close you will see his nose and raised eyes peeking out of the dirt.
